in orthodontic treatment
Saturday, 12th December 2020 17:00 (AEDT)
The use of
Orthodontic Mini-screws
TAD is an acronym for Temporary Anchorage Device. TADs are a new technology
that are greatly expanding the options in orthodontic treatment.
They are titanium mini pins or plates that are inserted into the jaw to help control
orthodontic treatment. The pins act as anchor points allowing the orthodontist
to move teeth and control treatment in ways never possible before.
They are removed after treatment hence the term temporary.
