Dr Rachel Lee is a registered specialist periodontist. She graduated from dental school with academic excellence awards for five consecutive years during her studies. Her passion for periodontology led her to complete a doctorate of clinical dentistry in periodontology.
Dr Lee has been a clinical supervisor at Griffith University for several years. Her special interest in periodontal medicine led her to research the association between inflammatory bowel disease and periodontitis. She published her research in the journal Clinical Medicine in 2023. She is a member of the Australian Society of Periodontology and an affiliated member of the European Federation of Periodontology.

This course offers a focused overview of key surgical techniques in implant and periodontal treatment. Topics include guided bone regeneration principles, biomaterial selection, autogenous bone harvesting, and management of compromised sockets. Emphasis will be placed on soft tissue handling, including flap advancement, the LASSO suturing technique, and free gingival grafts. Participants will also learn how to manage complications effectively.
A hands-on workshop will provide practical experience in suturing and grafting techniques, helping clinicians apply these skills confidently in clinical practice.
